Thomas, P.E. Owner
John is a graduate of Montana State University. There he received a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering. John worked in Southern California where he gained experience designing multi-million dollar condominium projects and high-rise buildings in one of the most earthquake prone regions of the country. The Masters Thesis he wrote has been incorporated into the MSU curriculum on wind loads. John has experience in subdivision design, land use planning, structural engineering, water system design, wastewater treatment design, stormwater control, drainage plans, and project management. John is a member of the Order of the Engineer, ASCE, and is working on his LEED Professional Accreditation.

Robert Guditis, P.E.
Senior Business Consultant and Project Manager
Bob holds a BSCE from the University of Notre Dame, and is a registered PE in
Montana
and several other states. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of the IEEE. His engineering background is extensive in civil and structural engineering. He holds several US and Canadian Patents.

Daniel Hughes, EIT Project Manager
Daniel graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has experience in infrastructure, septic, and structural design, as well as broad mechanical engineering experience. Daniel is a certified manufacturing engineering technologist, and a skilled draftsman.

Robert Smith, P.E. Project Manager
Rob is a graduate of Montana State University. He has worked in both private consulting and as a municipal engineer for a mid-west community. The experience he has includes commercial & residential development, traffic engineering, municipal capital improvement projects, water, sewer, stormwater, streets, public information, project management, etc. He is also a member of both the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

Matt Nerdig, EIT Project Engineer
Matt is a graduate of Montana State University. There he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with the Bio Resources Option (Environmental emphasis). He has worked in construction for several years to gain some practical experience alongside his education. He has training and experience in environmental, subdivision layout, septic design, site civil, construction management, structural, water and wastewater treatment and supply systems, environmental impact analysis, stormwater control and drainage, and land remediation. He is a member of the Order of The Engineer and is working on his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certification.

Kristin Downing - Office Manager
Originally from South Florida, Kristin worked for a large engineering firm for nine years. While working there she was the personal assistant to one of the Vice Presidents, two of the company’s partners as well as the only administrative staff for four of the five departments (geotechnical, environmental, construction materials testing and water resources). While there she also was in charge of the hiring and training of new administrative staff as well as training employees in other office locations for various programs. Shortly after moving to Montana, she began working for A2Z Engineering in June of 2008 as the office manager where she handles accounts payables, accounts receivables and regular office duties.

Reyna Thomas - Office Hospitality Greeter
Originally from Florida, Reyna graduated from obedience school in 2006 in Kalispell, Montana. After completing school she began her hospitality training and was brought in to A2Z to excel as one of the Flathead Valley’s top-notch customer service representatives. Her skills include protecting the office from UPS, Fed Ex and mail carriers; taking long naps in places that are most convenient for her but not the people in the office; faithfully begging for handouts at lunch every day; and being a tripping hazard.

Sage Nerdig - Office Hospitality Greeter
Sage Nerdig is an accomplished customer greeting representative. He shares the receptionist duties with Reyna so as to keep either of them from being over worked. He helps to insure that the office is clean and that everyone gets the amount of attention they deserve. He is a graduate of obedience school in 2006 through a home schooling program. He always brings a relaxed attitude to the office and is willing to do mostly anything for a treat. Sage makes sure to leave a layer of blonde hair on the floors of the office to insure that each employee’s feet has insulation. He joined A2Z engineering’s staff in the summer of 2006. He is always excited to greet any visitor at the door and is constantly checking to insure that no food goes to waste. He will be there to greet you as soon as you walk through our door.
